Nightmare Begins......

The nightmare begins this morning. Some colleagues will go straight to the Travel Fair and get the booth ready. Chaos will set in when the crowd starts to come in before noon..... and then it's all hell breaks loose!

For some reasons, I am being spared the agony for the opening ceremony. Will standby in the office and assist with any last minute promotion materials... not sure if that is better, though.

Into The Battlefield Tomorrow.....

This afternoon all stuff packed and delivered to the Travel Fair venue - Singapore Expo. Was still busy getting the Europe flyers ready this morning!

Then, special rates from Hong Kong Disneyland and I had to redo all my rates again! Goodness!!!!!!!!

I simply cannot 'work' anymore.... cannot think ...... need to go.....need to take a break.....

War starts tomorrow........ help me..........pls..........

Almost the Limit

Today has been a very 'long' day. My brain simply refused to work in the afternoon. So much needed to be done by today and I have finally got everything done, except Europe...which is still not in! So frustrating!

TNSW called to say that some quotations were missing and I managed to get them done and sent to her to check.... glad that everything is now in order.

This preparation for NATAS is more 'siong' (for me!) than the last NATAS! Well...One more day to go ........

My colleagues commented that I looked so 'tired ' every night....... well..... sms from the special someone will certainly help to 'see' me through!

Who's my 'Uncle Ben'

I have always been 'Uncle Ben' to many....listening to their problems and sometimes offering advice. I guess many are just happy to have someone to listen to them.... Uncle Ben happen to be that 'someone'.

Missing Someone.

Strange

Someone asked to be added in my msn and I did and the shocking thing was that the picture displayed was the same picture of someone very close to me! When I first saw the picture, I thought he was playing a trick on me but it turned out to be someone else!

That person claimed that the person in the picture was himself and when I told him that my friend had the same picture, he laughed. Anyway, he insisted that the picture was genuine.

I called my close friend and verified the picture and it definitely belonged to my friend. Why did that guy in the msn used my friend's picture and claimed his own?

Cannot Understand Them

There's 4 of us in the Product Department and guess what, the 3 ladies are 'camping' overnight tonight...to try and clear as much work as possible! This is so crazy!!!!!

There's really a lot to do and they have decided not to come in tomorrow and rather work till morning! I cannot understand how the brain can stay active and focus for 24 hours! We need to have a clear mind as we cannot afford mistake in our quotation and brochures..... and it's important to have enough rest so that we can be at our best!

Well... I left the office at about 9pm.. and plan to go back tomorrow to continue my work. At least I know I would be productive....

Women.....cannot understand them....

A new friend became a close friend recently and we have been catching up for meals lately. He would be leaving for Taiwan next week and would really miss him! There's always a lot of laughters in our chats and at least for me, I really enjoyed his company! Take care of yourself, my friend!

Fulfilling A Wish

Last year's Christmas, I wanted to buy a gift for someone very dear to me... but that gift was considered very expensive (at least for me!) I went to quite a number of places to ask but still very expensive..... finally , I did not buy it.

Well, that thought did not go away..... I finally bought it yesterday and gave it to that someone. Honestly, it was still expensive but I had to get it done.

I know that someone would love to have such a gift and since I have always wanted to get it....most importantly, it's a wish fulfilled. At least, I do not owe myself.......

Last Few Days

Bobby and Kyoro left on early morning of Monday.....business class passengers back to Japan!

Took 2 days leave to accompany Ben.
Went window shopping at Vivocity, Plaza Singapura and then movie. Caught up with Jeff for dinner.

Spent a day in JB. Visited Tebrau City Mall and then back to Taman Pelangi for foot reflexology and met up with Kevin before crossing back to Singapore. Dinner was with Gerald, Benjy and Sunny.

Had to work yesterday and left Ben to Jeff to take care. Accompanied him to the bus terminal at Golden Mile Complex and had something to
eat before bidding him safe journey to Penang.

The last few days have been very tiring.......

These Few Days

These few days passed by rather quickly! It's already Sunday!

Bobby is here with another Japanese, Kyoro, who is here for his 1st time! They arrived on Friday night. Met them up at the hotel and brought them out for a drink & supper.

Went back to office to get some work done and then caught up with a friend, TK, for lunch and chat before meeting up with the Japs again..... for dinner and look-see and also drinks. Went to River Hopng Bao ....very crowded.

Ben is coming in from Malacca today and will be staying for a few days. Have taken some time off from work to accompany him. Not sure how long he is staying though. This is a busy time for me...so do not have much time for him..... sorry, Brother!

Will be meeting up with the Japs again later. Hmm.....what's for dinner?

Today is the 1st day of the lunar New Year!

Last night we had our reunion dinner. Everyone came back and brought food for the steamboat. It's a tradition to have steamboat dinner for reunion! Lots of fun fighting over the food! Whenever the food is cooked and the lid is taken off, you could see many pairs of stopsticks dishing out food as fast as possible. Where's the quail egg, who took my prawn, why no abalone, etc???!!!!!!!! After so many years, still behave the same! Hahahahahaha!

This is the year of the Rat... certainly wish all my families and dear/good friends a healthly and prosperous new year!

Chinatown

Every year, without fail, Godfrey and I will brave the crowd at Chinatown just before Chinese New Year!

Last night, went to Chinatown for the famous porridge and then we started to comb the stalls there. Bought cushion/covers, stuff to decorate the house with, gadgets, melon seeds, etc.... we bought quite a lot of stuff! By the time we finished, it was already passed 11pm!

At Chinatown, there was lots of stuff from Malaysia & Taiwan.... the business has not been very good....some owners gave up their stalls after a couple of days and many are closing early this year!

Not as interesting as previous year.....

Safe Journey Home

Busy week with many friends travelling back to hometown for CNY. Just want to wish them safe journey home and ....when drinking, don't drive; when driving, don't drink!

It's Wallace's Birthday! Happy Birthday to you! Glad to know that some of the families have called/sms you ....... except the family from BKK.... Hello! Where are you?????!!!!!!!

It's also Richard's Birthday! I have known Richard since 1992/3 when he was the sales person for Rasa Sayang Resort in Penang. All these years, we have kept in touch and become very close friend. He is now in Xiamen. Happy Birthday, my friend!

An important date.... few friends' birthday!


Leo is from China and I have known him for a few years. We lost touch for a while but managed to meet again recently, last year. He is leaving for Australia today.....wishing him a good holiday.... and not forgetting , Happy Birthday!


Lynn is a ex-colleague since 1988. We have been keeping in touch till now. We catch up once a while and this year, without fail, I was in her office with a cake to celebrate her birthday!

Jason is a new friend from KL. ..It's his birthday as well... Happy Birthday!
