KL Trip

Just got back from KL this afternoon.

Arrived into KL on Thursday. The journey was quite smooth. There was no congestion at the causeway. Ben and Nelson came to meet me and drove me to the Hotel - Westin KL at Starhill.

Westin is located opposite The Pavilion. Great location! The room was very nice and spacious! Relaxed at the hotel before meeting up with some friends for dinner. SP and Konji came for dinner at Sungei Wang. After dinner, went to my hotel room for chat. Ben stayed over at the hotel. I forgot all about his snores until I heard the symphony again! Then, it was too late! Hahahahahaha!

Friday was quite a busy day. Sent Ben off to the monorail nearby before getting ready for site inspection. CJ showed me around and explained the Westin Experience to me. I had a very good chat!
Then I had to check out...took a cab to Mandarin Oriental. Very nice hotel, just next to KLCC!

Met up with Janny and had a site inspection. Mandarin Oriental is indeed 5 star!

Lawrence came to meet me and then we met up wth Ben at the Littel Penang Place for dinner. Waiting for Nelson to finish work...so went for a movie - horror movie...too horrified to remember the title....hahaha!

Sam came later and then we all went out for a drink at 65.

Saturday was sleep-in day.....since I had sleepless night on Thursday! Hahahahahah! Checked out from Mandarin Oriental and checked in at Le Meridien. Went to the Sentral Station from some window shopping and waited for Ben and Nelson to pick me up. Lunch was under invitation of Lawrence - at his restaurant. Managed to find the place - E & O. The restaurant serves curry meals..... all sort of curry. We had a feast! Lawrence fed us with lots of food! The food was delicious!

After lunch, I had an appointment for site inspection at the hotel. Have stayed in the hotel before and thus had a short inspection session. Joi called and was supposed to meet for dinner. Dinner was at a famous restaurant at Sentul Perdana. The food was sumptuous and value for money!Decided to gather at my room...had to quickly get some stuff..... fruit / drink / alcohol, etc..
Had a great time chatting in the room! Managed to get ice, utensils, etc from room service....
Ben stayed over again for the night.

Checked out this morning and waited for Nelson to come and pick us up for breakfast and also sending me off. Had breakfast before bidding them goodbye at the bus terminal. Met some Singaporean on the same coach.

It was a good trip... Did what I wanted to do.... Nelson and Ben, thanks again!

Trip to KL

Booked my coach trip to KL today. Leaving on Thursday and back on Sunday. Need to be back because my buddy is on leave Mon and Tue. Still waiting for hotel to confirm. Should not be a problem.

Will be meeting up with some friends.....eat...drink...eat again....drink again....and eat again!!!!!!!! So busy! Hahahahaha!

Weird Friend(s)

On the phone with a friend for quite a while last night. Have always been talking nonsense to him but did not realise that he took certain things I said seriously. When I found out, I explained to him that those things were meant as jokes and not to be taken seriously ...but he felt otherwise. He insisted that I was not joking. Haiz... This is not the 1st time he misunderstood my intention. Though I have explained that it was a misunderstanding, he could not accept.

Everyone' s perception of things could differ and often, communication is important so that there's no misunderstanding. However, if one party refuses to accept apology, and though explanation has been given, there's really nothing much the other party could do.

Many people said that I am weird.... they have not met my friend(s) yet.......

Road Show

This is our 1st Road Show.... all the preparation for today and tomorrow.

Went to Marina Square early to set up. Everything sort of went on smoothly..... closed my 1st booking soon after opening hour...good start!

Generally it was not so busy.... expected as we are never known to be aggressive.....and this is the 1st road show! For awareness, I think it is quite good....

Still, spent a lot of time promoting US, Australia, Japan, NZ, etc.... by the end of the day (about 7pm)...quite tired!

One more day to go....hopefully better sales.....competing with the Big Boys tomorrow.....

The Maid Is Back!

Yes! The maid is back! K went to fetch her from the airport.

Hopefully things will be back to normal very soon.

Public Holiday tomorrow ...but will go back to office...to finish up the final touch for the Road Show this weekend.

Had dinner with a dear friend at my favourite - Steamboat! Thks, Nic! Thks for the company!

Busy Family Day

Yesterday was a busy day for the family. Mum was supposed to be in the hospital but was disoriented with the environment and insisted to be discharged. K bought her back and as there was no one at home, had to stay with her. Stephen has to quickly look for a temp maid and Steve had to get her maid to help out.

Managed to find a temp maid for 2 days.... hopefully Yanti come back on Thursday...otherwise......haiz......

Managed to finish most of my stuff for the Road Show. Briefing today for the staff and also some last minutes changes n offers.

Just another Day...

Managed to get most of the tourshell done...thanks to my colleague who helped me out! Had to go to Ubi to collect some stuff from HKTA and realised that there's still another box to collect! The guy told me there's only 1! Frustrating!

Went to visit mum and she looked dazed.... left after she rested.

Came back to do laundry and cleaning up the house..... back to those days without the maid....... at least I still could handle house chores!

Got up early this morning to get mum ready..... K came to fetch her to the hospital for her treatment and hopefully she would be admitted. At least there's professional help to take good care of her.

Finally Over!

The Contiki Road Show is finally Over!

3 days at The Heeren....did not generate a lot of sales...more of awareness purpose..... Got to know the people that provided free coffee....Cafe Nova (Super) ...had fun!

Was in office in the office , trying to photocopy the tourshell. Paper too thick and tried many times but unable....jammed the machine! So frustrating! Gave up!

Came back and Steve was here.. taking care of mum...

It's a new week...... final preparation for my own Road Show....

2nd Day of the Road Show

Came this morning to Heeren and the place was not even opened!

Set up the laptop but no one came! Called up Andrew and he was still asleep! Found out that Wendy was supposed to come but no one informed me! She was still in the office! Ahhhhhhh!

Finally got back to the office to finish some work! Have to go back tomorrow as well..... cannot risk the preparation for next week's road show.....

Now back at the Road Show so that my colleagues can go for dinner. Have to get back asap so that Stephen can go back and rest. There's no one taking care of mum. Hope Mark remember to come in early tomorrow to take care of mum while I attend to my Road Show...

Maid Problem

Feeling really tired ......

Found out that the temp maid does not want to work anymore....Stephen will come in tomorrow and stay with mum till I get back from the road show and then Mark will come in on Sunday to take care of mum. On Monday, K will admit mum into hospital for the last 2 treatments. She will stay till Thursday and hopefully, Yanti will be back from Indonesia and she can continue to take care of mum.

Even after this Road Show, I have a Bigger Road Show next week......haiz.....

Contiki Road Show

Busy day today..... Contiki Road Show starts today till Sunday.

Was at Heeren at about 10am to set up the computer. No one has time to learn regarding the setup and so I took upon myself to learn. There were 10 agents at the road show, all promoting Contiki holidays.

Had to go to Macau Tourism to collect souvenirs for our road show next week. Rushed back to office to finish as much work as possible and then rushed back to the road show. Have to bring the laptop back and then set up again tomorrow morning.

Why am I doing all this? I really have no idea...... shouldn't it be marketing job or the retail manager's job? I am only the product person.....

Just Another Day....

Blog has problem yesterday..could not log in to write....


Had a day maid yesterday. The temp maid had to go and work in another place for the day and the company sent another maid to stand in....very strange! Glad that everything went ok....I think! Hahahaha!

A customer called from Australia last night. He was upset with his hotel - Royal Woods , and insisted to change. The reasons were : not near the beach, no proper restaurant, no toothbrush n paste, no TV in the bedroom! This is a 5 star award winning resort! The husband tried to blame us but the resort was booked by his wife! She chose it! Well, the customer was just unreasonable!

Bothered....

Busy day changing all the tour shell for my packages and updating all the new rates......really busy.....

Had dinner with a friend and realised that he has misunderstood the conversation we had before. Glad that I could explain and clear the misunderstanding.

Called a dear friend up ..want to know if everything is ok with him. Have been reading his blog, though. I did not mean to stay away .... just wanted to give you space and time to sort out things. I still care..... a lot.

I am really bothered by a lot of things......

So Far So Good

Got back after work last night and the temp maid was there. So far so good. Spoke to her about taking care of mum. She has worked for another family for 6 years, looking after old folk. Should not be a problem. Anyway, it's only for 10 days and then Yanti will be back from Indonesia.

Mum has to go for another session of ECT this morning. Hope everything will turn out well today .

I am beginning to feel 'tired'. Really want to drop everything and go away..... for a while.

Got up very early today to accompany the maid to airport and then to the office. Very early in the office....

Hope the temp maid work out ok with mum. Stephen is supposed to keep mum companied today and explain the necessary to the temp maid.

Stressed!!!!!

Well...mum did not get admitted today due no bed! After her ECT treatment, she had to come back! Now, have to get a temp maid by tomorrow! Leave to Stephen to sort it out... I really have no time! Have to arrange for mum to go for her ECT treatment the next few days and every time after the treatment, she will have memory loss.... dont know if the temp maid could cope or she could cope with the temp maid!

Need to sort out the set up for this weekend's Contiki road show... and have to get the packages ready for next week's road show as well! Airfares are expected to change by early next week and that means that I have to re-cost many of my packages again! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many things happening.....

Mum has been admitted to hospital this morning. Has to go through some treatments (ECT) . Not sure when she would be discharged. Probably Friday.

The maid leaving for home tomorrow early morning. Have to help her settle some matters today, and send her to the airport tomorrow. Have allowed her to go back for 10 days, since she has not been back and see her son for more than 2 years.

Road show coming up these 2 weekends and also have to attend meetings..... still have some personal issues not settled.....so much to do at the same time......

Another Day with Thai Family

Met up with Chartchai again this afternoon, for lunch and movie. After checking out, went to Plaza Singapura for Dim Sum lunch, followed by movie - 10000 BC. As usual, fell asleep at the beginning of the movie! Hey, that's me! The movie was rather draggy.....by the time it ended, I was very tired! Hahahahaaha!

Had a drink at TCC before going back to the hotel to pick up the luggage. Bid goodbye to him.....safe journey, 5th Uncle!

Good Evening....

Met up with Chartchai for dinner. Gerald came along, together with James and Sunny. Went to meet Chartchai at Funan and then picked up James at Tampines, and met up with Sunny at St 11, the famous zhi cha kopitiam. It was crowded! The food was quite good! We then prceeded to T3 for dessert. 1st time to T3...very impressive! Ended at Secret Recipe for cakes n drinks. Had a lot of fun chatting and laughing!

Thai Family's Visit

Chartchai arrived this afternoon, staying at Bencoolen. Met up with him for dinner near Lavendar, together with a friend, James. Great catching up with him again! The last time we met was a few months ago!

Will catch up with him again tomorrow and also on Sunday.....

A lot came to mind today....since the morning, on the way to work.... Could not sleep last night. A few things happened lately and though I went on with my life as usual, those matters actually bothered me.

Worried about some people very close to me. I know that I cannot get involved and so I won't.

It's Not Over Yet..

After NATAS, everyone is busy clearing all the reservation made the last weekend, due to some restriction from airlines where the tickets have to be issued within these few days.

Found out that I have a 3-Day Contiki Road Show next weekend! Ahhhh!
The Road show will be from Friday to Sunday at Heeren and the week after, I will have my own Road Show! Spare me!!!!!!

The only comfort is that the Thai family would be coming down this weekend to visit me....

Finally Over..But....

Finally.....the Fair is over! Hooray!

The Fair ended today at 9:30pm. The Fair ground started to get quiet after 7pm. Overall, we had above 58,000 visitors over 3 days! There's a record!

We did more than $1 million worth of sale! This is better than the same period last year and with lesser staff !

Glad that it is finally over! But, the next 1 week will be busy clearing all the reservation and then I have to prepare for our own Road Show in late March! No break for me!

Really tired.....need a break....... maybe should change job.... will consider....

29 Feb

29 Feb comes once every 4 years.... everyone knows that.

29 Feb was the 1st day of NATAS Travel Fair. The office was very busy with many enquiries. As I was fortunate not to be at the Fair ground, I managed to 'relax' in the office (unlike my colleagues who were very busy at the Fair ground). Had lunch with Ben, who were here for a few days. Brother, My apologies that I am unable to spend time with you this time..... really too busy and have to work late until Sunday night! Certainly hope you enjoy your trip here!

Went to the Fair ground after work and it was not very crowded, though. Lots of people checking prices and managed to close Hong Kong tour. Though the ground closed at 9:30pm, there were many still making enquiries!

Confusion with the transfer that was sending us back and by the time I reached home, it was almost midnight!
