Was chatting with ex-colleague today and was told that the GM has resigned and the last day would be tomorrow! Shocking news!
Never expected this to happen!!!!!!!!!!!
The sad part was that there was no farewell 'party' for him! He was never a people's boss and obviously not popular!
Perhaps, it a good thing for him to leave.....good for the Company...hopefully they find someone who is a people's boss and is passionate about Travel.
I did not have a pleasant working relationship with him but still, I wish him well and the all the best in his future endeavours!

Busy Weekend
22 April
Daddy and Win arrived this afternoon from Bangkok. Was to meet up for dinner.
Went to the hotel to meet up with them. Then, off to Amoy Street to have dinner at The Red Pig - Korean BBQ. Derrick came to join us.
The food at this restaurant was delicious! We had beef & pork for BBQ , seafood pancake and also a big pot of noodle soup! It was great!
Then, we went over to Chinatown for desserts at our regular joint, before we called it a day.
23 April
Friday was a work day and so arranged to meet them for dinner. Wanted to go out to Geylang for seafood but the sky was rather threatening and decided to have the meal indoor. Went to Vivocity and settled at No Signboard Restaurant. We had crab, pork, vege, platter & fried rice! Great meal! Expensive too! Daddy treated us! Hooray!
Went for desserts at the newly opened Fruit Paradise. Only managed to have 3 different tarts as the rest were sold out.
Went for a drink near Chinatown before I left them there to continue .... (old man needed to rest earlier!)
24 April
Daddy left on a morning flight back to Bangkok. Win was to catch an afternoon flight to Hong Kong. Arranged to have lunch with him. Yas called and we all met up at Vivocity (again) at Tajimaya restaurant for Japanese BBQ. This restaurant served good quality meats....we even had a plate of wagyu beef! Another great meal! Even better because I did not have to pay! hahahahaha!
Raymond did not manage to join us for lunch but he made it to bid goodbye to Win.
Was supposed to join Alan,m Albert and Raymond for dinner & karaoke but declined the invitation and stayed at home instead. Save money.... need to cut down on unnecessary expenses......
25 April
Met up with Raymond and Jim at Kranji MRT. The traffic was quite heavy into JB. We managed to get in on time and met up with Jason and James for lunch. Went to a new place for Bak Kut Teh. Same name but different store. We had a big claypot of Bak Kut Teh with additional ingredients, braised pig throttle, side dishes and steamed fish slices! Good food (but I would still prefer the same store that we usually patronise)!
Then, it's off to our regular foot reflex. Managed to get the usual person..and soon, I was already snoring! The foot reflex was rather painful but I reckon that it was so good that I could still fall asleep! So shiok!
Went over to Leisuremall for Raymond to get his dose of manga. I also caught up with the Tea shop owner who could be closing the shop at the end of April. He would be opening a new shop (where the house is) in June. Promised to visit his new shop in June.....
Last stop at City Square to buy some bread from Lavender and also a coffee stop at Old Town before making our way back to Singapore
It was a great day in Johore Bahru again!

Business is Slow.....
This is the new financial year from April 2010. Business has been rather slow. The number of calls has dropped ........
With the new target set, higher than last year, it is a BIG CONCERN for some of us. Hitting the target last year has been challenging and this year is going to be even tougher , with the NBN!
Though it is tough for some of us, some others seem to be performing well. Difficult to convince the management to relook into the target since there are people who are hitting the target so far. Haiz..........
Have been doing a lot of transfer calls to outbound. Very frustrating! Little we could do at his moment, unless we can come up with a better phone solutions. Had thought of various solutions but the repercussions.........
Hopefully, sales will pick up soon.....otherwise, keeping the job would be a problem as well!

Changed Person
It's quite usual to find me home early most of the time nowadays....
I used to be back late everyday......or almost everyday. Now, I am at home, online or watch tv program or tidying some stuff.
I have changed so much......it's beyond me! Staying at home..spending less outside.......
All these changes ....because of........?

Good Weekend!
17 April
Went to the airport in the morning to pick up Yanti. Informed her to get mum's room ready as mum would also be back. Have also bought her (Yanti), new mattress, comforter and pillow. She has worked for my family for a few years and its time to get her a new set.
Mum discharged from GH today and was back home before noon. At least, with the maid, there is someone to keep her accompanied. Honestly, without Yanti, its going to be a big problem taking care of mum, even with a new maid!
Was to meet up with Nic for dinner. Nic would be going to Kuantan to work and decided to catch up first. Managed to get Alan Gerald and Raymond to join in. Dinner was at Crystal Jade @ Toa Payoh. The restaurant serves steamboat after 8pm. After waiting for a while, we finally got our table.
There were lots to eat! We have many balls - fish, prawn, pork, squid and beef, wanton, meats slices, lots of mushroom, tofu, and even live prawns! The prawns were still alive...before they got into the hot stock...... Raymond reckoned that it was so cruel...but he also commented that the prawns were simply delicious!
Glad to have met up with Nic and his friend! Certainly wish them all the best in their new endeavours!
18 April
Was to catch up with Nelson and Alwin for lunch. Nelson said that they would be in SG and have suggested to catch up for lunch. It''s been a long time since Nelson was last in SG! He finally got his passport done! Hahahahahaha!
Tim Sum lunch at East Ocean restaurant. It's been a long time last I was last there. The queue was long, even with reservation, but we finally got our table. The tim sum was quite good.... cannot say much about the soup (lotus root with pork), though! It was quite expensive but for my god brother, it's definitely worth it!
After lunch, we went over to ICON to have desserts (香港茶餐厅). The desserts were delicious!
From Orchard, we went over to Chinatown where Nelson and Alwin picked up some stuff at the wholesale place - swanson..got some perfume stuff at a good deal...also some skin care items! Then to Vivocity to take a look at the Mall. Managed to grab some snacks at the basement where there 's lots of eateries.
Decided to show them Marina Barrage and managed to find our way there. Due to threatening sky, we could not get up to the top to see the view. It was a pity. Still, Nelson managed to get some nice pictures ...
Dinner was at the popular Fish Head steamboat place at Jalan Sultan. We ordered the famous fish head steamboat, sambal sweet potato leaves, prawn omelette, 南乳花肉 and 虾酱鸡翅!It was a good meal! It was good because Alwin treated us! Hahahahaha!
They drove Raymond back to the East, alighted me at Queensway, making their back back to JB!
It was really great catching up with them in Singapore! Have always hope to see them here and finally got the chance to play host to them! Thanks for making the trip!
Know that the special someone is having steamboat with his good friends........ wish I could be there too!

Miscellaneous
Mum's condition took a turn the last few days. She started crying and we could not understand why. The dentist took out some teeth during the recent ECT as they were very loose and mum got very upset over it when she woke up. Steve has to arrange for her to get new denture done.
Had to make arrangement to transfer money for the maid to her new account in Indonesia. Sometimes, I feel that I am my maid's maid! She would be back this Saturday and mum is expected to be discharged on that day as well. I have to get the place cleaned up before they come back!
Work is getting busy but need to work very hard. Target for new FY is up by another 20%! Crazy!

Another Quick Trip...
9 April
Arrived into Hong Kong in the afternoon after a slight delay from Singapore. The air traffic was very busy in Singapore! As usual, the immigration in Hong Kong is terrible..... hundred of arriving passengers but few immigration staff!
Took the Airport Express to Kowloon and then the free shuttle to Jordon MTR station. Hotel Largos was located near the MTR (but we took a long route to get to the hotel!). The hotel has quite a small entrance with a concierge and the lobby & reception was upstair. The room was rather small, maybe slightly bigger than Ibis Northpoint. For the price, cannot complain!
Went over to Eddie's office for a short chat, before meeting up with Daddy and his brother for dinner. Dinner was at a local restaurant... the food was average and expensive! Glad to catch up with Daddy again.
After bidding goodbye to them, we went over to the MarketPlace by Jason - Supermarket! My favourite!
Caught up with Derrick, Stanley and Herman for steamboat dinner - 2nd round! The meal was delicious! I enjoyed it very much! 稻香restaurant....must remember this place! Derrick and gang treated us! So sweet of them!
By the time we got back, it was rather late already!
10 April
Was to catch a movie this morning. Stephen managed to book the movie online - Clash of the Titans. Wanted to have my favourite Wanton Noodle before going to the theatre but it was not opened. The theatre was at a big shopping mall - festival Walk at Kowloon Tong station.
The movie was entertaining and I did not sleep! Hahahaha! There was also a big supermarket at the mall!
As there was still some time before the next appointment, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui for my favourite wanton noodle - die die must have (龙记招牌云吞面)! This is just a simple fare, nothing compared to those favourite wanton noodle restaurants....but I simply love the wanton noodle and the BIG WANTON!
Stopped over at HarbourCity for window shopping.....Good place for window shopping....just window shopping! decided to have coffee and lamington at MacDonald's... snacking again!
Took the ferry ride from Star Ferry over to Wanchai.....and then a long walk to the High Tea Venue - Hopewell Tower : Revolving 66. The revolving restaurant has a fantastic view up on the 62nd floor. Eddie, Simon, and 2 other friends ( the Bali group) were there to catch up and talk about their Bali trip. During the High Tea, they enacted part of the scene that took place in Bali! Poor me, I had to play along! Hahahahaha! The High Tea spread was average but at HK$98, it was a bargain! Also, the view was fantastic! Most importantly, the HighTea was free! The friend was so kind to give us a treat! Such wonderful people around!
After High Tea, we went over to Fortress Hill MTR station to meet up with Daddy and his brother. Frankie came to meet us after his class and took us to his place as Daddy has not visited their new place yet. Managed to take a shower at Frankie's place before going off for dinner.
Dinner was at a local restaurant in Northpoint. Though we had reservation made, we waited for almost 45 mins before the table was made available. This is a very popular restaurant. The food was quite good and we ordered quite a lot of stuff ..too much.......
After dinner, we went separate ways. Managed to pick up a luggage bag at a good price at Temple Street Night Market....to get rid of the existing one as the zip was damaged in the previous trip.
11 April
Arranged to meet up with the group for Tim Sum brunch. 3rd Uncle came to join us. The meeting place was at StarBuck. While we were there, there was a guy who came and placed his drink order and then commented that the place was crowded. There were only 2 of us! Crazy man!
The restaurant was at HarbourCity. The food was rather delicious, looked expensive with the presentation, though. 3rd Uncle treated us! We had a great time with great Company!
Went over to Kowloon station to do an early check in for the flight - to get rid of the luggage... Then, went looking around at Elements - another big mall with a big supermarket called threeSixty.
Then, it's time to go to the airport and we meet Daddy and his brother at the Airport Express. They were going out to the airport to catch the transfer to Citigate.
Though the trip was rather short, I managed to do what I wanted to do... to spend time with that special someone.....

Coming Weekend.....
Guess what? I am not going to be around this weekend!
Mum looks a lot better after 2 sessions of ECT. Hopefully, she would get better when she finishes the whole process.
The phone alarm went off this morning and for a brief moment, I was wondering why the phone alarm was on. Then, I remembered!
Before I left the house, I checked to ensure that everything was in order......... would be back on Sunday only...... Have a flight to catch......
