When We First Met

When we first met,

I wasn't planning on falling in love....

I wasn't even planning on feeling so attracted to someone

but somehow you have awakened the feelings

inside of me that I'd forgotten even existed....

When we first met,

I didn't realize how much our love would develop,

and the chemistry that first brought us together

would reach beyond such magnitude

to the comfort of knowing that I have

found someone very special....

When we first met,

I have no idea where our relationship

would be heading towards

and how beautiful you have made my world to be..

and now, I know for sure

when we first met,

was the happiest day of my life!

I have Found It

Love......

All of my life

I have

read about it

dreamed of it

waited for it

cried alone for it

searched for it

needed it.

Now, in you,

I have found it!

Mum in Hospital

Have been busy the last few days...other than work.

Mum has been in hospital for the last few days. Originally complaimed of pain, she was warded for some tests and observation. She seemed to get better but was later transferred to another ward that deals with depression.

Have been in and out of the hospital.... the doctor suggested to get her to do the brain treatment and stay for 2 weeks while the maid could make use of that time to go home to Indonesia. Mum is against the idea but we need to get someone to take care of her when the maid goes back for her long overdue holiday! The brothers are really quite exhausted as they have to visit her all the time and making all the necessary arrangement.

The recovery will be slow....just pray tha she get well soon.

Universal Studios Singapore®

Welcome to Universal Studio Singapore!

Company' s event to USS from 30 Mar to 01 Apr from 7pm to 11pm!

Managed to get 2 tickets to go to USS for 30 Mar and got my Tuesday kaki to go with me!

Met up at VivoCity and took the monorail ride (S$3) into Sentosa! It's been a long time since my last visit! By the time we got to USS, long queues of people waiting to get in. We managed to see an entrance that others missed and got in without waiting in line!

Being a new attraction, many people are excited over it! The place was booked down by the Company and we were the 1st Corporate Company to do that! All of us gathered at WaterWorld where the CEO gave a short speech before the show. The show was very exciting and entertaining!

By the time the show ended, everywhere was crowded with people! We managed to go for 1 attraction - Revenge of the Mummy. We had no idea what it was about. Seeing people going in, we followed. Soon, we realised it was a high speed roller coaster ride! Fancy being in a roller coaster with no idea what's happening! It was really exciting and I could see that Raymond was really enjoying himself!

Managed to get some dinner at the Food Court and a last minute stroll around the place before making our way back to mainland.

USS was fun just simply not enough time! Got to come back again and do all the rides!

You Are So Much Of Me

If I had to spend my life without you,

I'd be forced to spend my life without a part of me.

You are so much of me

that loving you

is not a matter of choice...

It's what I do....

It's what I am.

Thank You For Being You

I think our love was meant to be...

The special sharing we know couldn't be as it is today

if we had not met exactly when we did.

If our lives hadn't touched when they did,.

I might have lived today loving one less person

But not just any person....... A very beautiful one....

Thank you for being you,

and for helping me to understand

some of the joys

to be found in life.

I Have Fallen More In Love With You

Today.....

I have thought about you so much.

I have missed you and cherished you.

I have dreamed countless dreams of you and I together,

searching for clouds and reaching for stars

so that we may see and climb even higher.

I have encountered a hundred little things

that I wanted to share with you,

but you were not there,

and it made me appreciate you

and our times together even more.

Yet still, I will save all of these things

in my mind and in my heart, so that I may

share all that I am with you

in the opportunities I receive.

But for today, it is enough

to say that I have lived, and that.....

I have fallen more in love with you.

SRS

Met a colleague (this afternoon) this afternoon and she said that she is being served SRS. SRS means asked to leave, with compensation. She was with the company for 10 years!

She is not the only 1 served SRS. Colleagues from 2 other departments were also asked to go. Many have been with the company for more than 20 years! The company moved the operations to Malacca. The Company recently reported that it did well in the midst of recession and economic downturn...then why SRS........?????????

We have been having difficulties working with the Malacca office...it is going to be worse...........

Happy Birthday , My friend!

Was on the msn few days ago and realised that a friend was in town for a few days. Managed to catch up with him at Star Buck City Hall. We have chatted for more than 2 years (I think) but never got a chance to catch up. Finally! He came to SG for a short break, a birthday treat for himself!

Met up with him again yesterday, together with Raymond at one of our favourite makan places - the fish head steamboat at Jalan Sultan. There's 2 shops there with the same name and both profess to be the original. We chose the one with air-con!

The Fish head (red snapper) steamboat was really delicious! We also had Nan Ru Hua Ruo, sambal sweet potato leaves and prawn omelette. A good meal! After the meal, we went down to Bugis for dessert at AH CHEW.

He left this afternoon back to KL. On the way to airport, he called to thank me.

The pleasure is all mine, my friend! Great to have finally met up with you! Take care , safe flight and hope to catch up again, soon!

Falling In Love

Falling in Love is a wonderful feeling........indeed!

I never thought, my this age, I would meet someone that could ' take my breath' away! I spend a lot of time listening to friends talking about their relationships and giving advice but never expected that it would happen to me!

All these years, I sort of resigned to the fact that it would be difficult to find that special someone. I have already past my youth and now in my mid forties! Even if I do like someone, the feelings may not be mutual!

I met someone recently... that person gave me a feeling that I thought I would never have. That feeling was really wonderful and that feeling got stronger and stronger as the days go by. I realised that I have fallen in love!

I treasure every moment of it and I hope that it's here to stay!

Have Warranty; No Guarantee

Was in a taxi today and struck a conversation with the taxi driver.

He was talking about the casino at Sentosa and also how he won money was he was there. Then, his mobile rang and a fellow driver called to ask him for the best possible route from Clementi to Woodlands. I was impressed with my taxi driver as he was like a directory, giving detailed directions!

Then, we told me about some passengers who are particular about the routes. He told me that when a passenger asks him how soon would it take to reach the destination. He would politely inform the passenger that he is unable to advise. He can issue warranty but he cannot issue guarantee! He will try to best to get to the destination in the shortest possible time!

Warranty refers to : he can assure that the passenger reaches his destination but Guarantee refers to : he cannot assure that he will arrive in the stipulated time.

I find this statement very interesting...

Belated Birthday Greetings!

Happy Belated Birthday, John!

Terrible! Supposed to call him yesterday but forgot! So unlike me! Haiz, no mood for anything......

John is a very dear friend, staying in New Zealand. He was from Vietnam and was a refugee . He worked very hard and is now the boss of a travel agency. I had the privileged to work with him when I was still in the travel business. Together, we moved groups to New Zealand, to the surprise of many other travel agencies.

I remember in year 2001 when my father passed away and I quit my job to go away for a break, John was there for me. I went to NZ to stay at Michael's place and John came to pick me up and even drove me all the way to Te Puke (about 3 hrs away)! He even gave me an ang pow!

We have mutual respect for each other, even until today!

Great Weekend

19 Mar

Long waited moment finally arrived! Went to the airport to fetch Stephen, arriving on Tiger Airways from Hong Kong! The plan was quite on time and soon Stephen was out and its' great to see him again!

Brought him back to my place where he would be staying for the 2 nights. Then, Win called and we went over to Swissotel Stamford to meet up with them (Win, Daddy and Raymond). Went over to Marina Square and to Suki-Ya for Sukiyaki dinner. Dinner was not bad but the company was great!

After dinner, we went over to Fruit Paradise for dessert. Most of the tarts were sold out but we managed to try 2 flavours.
Went over to the regular hang out place for drinks before heading back home.

20 Mar

Brought Stephen to the local 'market' for breakfast. He reckoned Roti Prata, Loh Mee, Fried Carrot Cake were too heavy for breakfast! Fried Bee Hoon was good enough for him!

Was to meet up with them for lunch at Taka. Went to Crystal Jade Palace. Had dim sum lunch ..... delicious lunch! Then, went over to Orchard Central for dessert - Fruit Paradise again!

A stop at Robinson's to get a gift for Wong before rushing back home to change. Gerald came to pick us up. Picked up Small Ben before going over to Wong's place.

Gathering at Wong's place. Soon, Daddy, Win and Raymond came ; followed by Nick and Jason. Albert arrived later with a friend. Dinner was catered - Lee Wee Brothers' mini nasi lemak buffet with additional honey glazed wings and curry chicken. Derrick , who could not make it, brought some wines over earlier. Simple fare, compared to our usual wine party, but good enough for the gathering. Wong bought big strawberries and grapes. The ambiance was great!

21 Mar

Brought Stephen to Queensway Shopping Centre for 328 Katong Laksa. He loved it! Then, off to Chinatown for a look see before heading to Swenson's for lunch.

After lunch. we headed out to the airport for Stephen to catch his flight back to Hong Kong!

It was great having Stephen over this weekend! Though we did not do much travelling around, the time spent together was priceless! Thank you!

Another Great Weekend!

13 Mar

Another Great Saturday trip to JB!

Met up with Raymond and Alan at Kranji MRT. As usual, Raymond was late.....very late this time! The congestion was not too bad, especially when you take the smiley bus (it jumped queue). Was supposed to meet Nick to go to a new place for lunch but he could not make it.

Went to our favourite Shun Fa Bak Kut Teh shop...... this time they overlooked our order and we waited for quite a while but it was worth the wait! Delicious!

After lunch, it was foot reflex....it was so comfortable.....my snoring gave it away!

Then shopping at LeisureMall and also at Pelangi Plaza before meeting up with Nick and friend for dinner at Taman Gardens. We had BIG Glasses of Dragon fruit juice & Balonglong, with stingray, fish, sotong, prawn, vege and chicken wings! Great meal!

A final stop at City Square and drinks & snacks at Old Town before heading back to Singapore! By the time I got home we will already past 11pm! A long but enjoyable day!

A Good Day......

06 Mar 2010

Met up with Raymond and also Jeff at Eunos MRT at 9am. As usual, Raymond was late! Lunch would be on him!

Went into JB by Woodlands checkpoint. The traffic was quite bad just after the Singapore checkpoint. Slowly but surely, we finally cleared through the JB checkpoint.

1st stop was car wash. It's a good deal to wach your car in JB....M$8 is a bargain! They clear the inside of the car as well!

After that, we went for massage. As the regular staff were busy, we decided to come back later and went for lunch. We went to the regular Bak Kut Teh shop. The last time we came, they were having spring cleaning. Ordered the usual dishes and as usual, the food was great! Really delicious! The last time we went to another 'famous' bak kut teh shop, it was a disappointment. I rather stick to this shop!

Next stop was LeisureMall. Raymond went to buy his comic books while Jeff and I walked the supermarket. Then, back to the massage place. Raymond had body massage while the 2 of us had foot reflexology. So comfortable and I was asleep in no time...

A stop at Lavender Bakery to buy some bread before we headed back to Singapore and to my place to help me reformat my PC. It did not take very long this time to reformat the PC. Jeff thought of a faster way to do it and he did! Hopefully, I would not have the same problem again!

Raymond stayed on at my place while Jeff had to go for another appointment - his badminton game! Thank goodness, I had my Mio programmes to keep him occupied!

Went to Farrer Park station to meet up with Small Ben and then proceeded to the Zi Char place at Betty Road. Gerald and Jay came later to join us. The food was good but waiting time as about 1 hour, which was usual!

One final stop and that was the cheesecake cafe before Gerald drove me back. It was quite a long day and I was rather tired by the time I got home.

The day trip to JB was rather fun. Always enjoy going in with Raymond and Jeff.

Otanjobi Omedeto Gozaimasu

Tiring day today and decided to go home early.

Was on MSN and saw a friend online. It's his birthday today I thought he would be out celebrating. He explained that its a weekday and he needed to work tomorrow and thus he did not go out and celebrate.

A thought came to mind and I decided to surprise him. Went to Anchorpoint to get a cake and then took a cab to his place. Was not sure the actual address but vaguely remembered the location. Called him when I was there and he was surprised. Bought some drinks and went to a void deck to cut the cake - strawberry cheesecake and ...he does not like cheesecake! Must remember not to buy cheesecake again!

Chat for a while before I took a cab back......very tiring.....almost doze off in the cab.....

Glad that I could celebrate his birthday with him....its his first birthday cake! While he thanked me for the cake and time, I thanked him for his friendship!

Happy Birthday, my Friend!
